Re: 1JZ conrods

are you suggesting mine are bent, or that you have bent yours? (I can't view your image).
it take a special effort to bend those short, stout 1jz conrods.

Re: How to make your JZX90 faster than a stock turbo supra.

Another good idea to apply to our motors is to look at the ignition system. The systems are very good quality from factory, but over time(like 20 years) the coils can develop cracks in them, so you lose spark energy. It's likely that at stock boost levels, you won't even know, but once you crank the...

How to make your JZX90 faster than a stock turbo supra.

my definition of "faster" is a quicker time over the quarter mile. Right, how do we make a 2.5 litre sedan faster than a 3 litre sports car? Well , the JZX90 has some raw ingredients that lend itself to be a real contender down the strip. Firstly, the average jzx90 is listed at 1450kg, which is 60kg...

Re: JZS161 Single Turbo Problem

did you manage to get this sorted?
i believe it has to do with the tune, especially to do with the air intake fuel map correction. These JZ motors are massive heat sinks, and once that large alloy inlet manifold is heat soaked , it can take AGES to disippate the heat.

Re: 1jzgte TT Boost creepin

Chuck an air compressor nozzle up the pipes that lead to the actuators, just to make sure they are opening under boost. For instance if one wasn't working properly, and the other one was, then you may see 15 psi boost, but in reality you have one turbo doing 11-12 psi, and the other providing much m...

Re: jzx81 chassis-what r154?

hey thanks for the reply. I didn't know that the jzx81 never came with a manual trans option.( But i thought that they would be fairly rare , like a manual soarer.)

jzx81 chassis-what r154?

Hello to the jzx community. If i was floating the idea of putting a manual gearbox in, what version of R154 fits? is there just two versions, standard, and remote shift? The car is a LX80 (sedan), with a jzx81 crossmember in it, to fit the 2jzgte. The rear diff and axles were tiny,so have fitted a h...
