Guess you have a point there. JZX gave up daily driving duties a couple years ago when I got another car/work vehicle so its definitely an experience jumping in it again on weekends.

The cause of the knocking sound has been found.

Conrod shells on numbers 2,3,5,6 are fucked. I have included a photo of Number 6 which is the worst. The rebuild continues!

What condition are the factory front guards in? Have they been rolled/dented/rust repaired etc. Would be repainted so chipped/scratched paint doesn't matter.

Oh ok, I probably wont bother then. Will just rebuild it to OEM specs. I have also decided to rebuild the whole motor over the next few months since it will be easier to remove the head once its out of the car. Hoping with a simple turbo/injector/fuel pump upgrade it will net the extra 50rwkw.

Was planning to clean it up myself but thought about possibly porting it so that its future proofed. Are you meaning cutting into the valve seat? do you have recommendations on who could carry out this work? I don't really want any more than ~250rwkw given that it was enough trouble on the street at...
