Re: Gadget's JZS161 Aristo
Around where in Hawke's Bay do you stroll? I might have encountered your Aristo at a roundabout in front of Pak 'n Save...or it might be a different car. May indeed have been me - I live about 1km from Hastings Pak'n'save and do go there reasonably regularly.... not sure there's many other Aristos ...

Japanese Translation
The Aristo that I just got has a whole bunch of Japanese on the multi-function display and I know the kind members here would probably translate it for me given a picture, but I like to do things myself. I pulled out my trusty iPhone and searched on the appstore. After sifting through the normal typ...

Re: Gadget's JZS161 Aristo
So after fun with getting it complied, it's here! Very impressed overall, nice car. Aftermarket goodies confirmed/found (some pics via links): TRD front brakes (appear to be supra 4-pot calipers & rotors) TRD cat-back twin exhaust TRD underbody chassis stiffeners Tom's Advox adjustable coilovers I'd...

Re: LV Cert/Ride Height
So from my research this afternoon = A certed car cant bave anything modified which is listed on the cert plate without a re-cert. Cheers for the info - it does acutally make sense that the car is certed as a unit rather than just the specific part. Just a PITA that I had to get it cert'd at the he...

Re: LV Cert/Ride Height
Cheers guys. I suspected as much. I got a (very average) pic of the cert plate (it arrived yesterday) and it says 350mm F/360mm R + or - 5% So +/- 5%, as you guys said. Guess I'll just need to bite the bullet and do the re-cert if I go lower than that 5%! Anyone else have a cert'd lowered Aristo? Wh...

LV Cert/Ride Height
Hey Guys, Have had to get the suspension cert'd on the Aristo on entry to the country due to being Toms adjustable. I've not had access to the car yet (it's in Auckland, I'm.... not), as such it's been certified as it arrived. Although the ride height has been dropped from factory, it's potentially ...

Re: Tom's Advox Suspension
DONT GO D2... or K SPORT.. kthxbai.. BC Gold if your going cheap ;) Going cheap... I don't want to but can't justify the cost of Tein and can't stomach putting factory shocks back in. Really hoping Autolign can come to the party and repair the existing one. Any thoughs on KTS? Supposedly they make ...

Re: Tom's Advox Suspension
Thanks for the responses guys. Autolign suspect they may be able to remove and re-assemble replacing a couple of seals - if they have the right sizes. This will be the first option. Am getting prices on D2 and BC Gold coilovers as a replacement - was hoping to replace only one end but it appears tha...

Tom's Advox Suspension
Hey Guys, This Aristo I've brought in has a leaky shock, so they won't comply it. Turns out it's got Tom's Advox suspension. Anyone know anyone that does Tom's here in NZ? If not, recommendations on a replacement (brand and place to buy)? Would I need to replace all four, or could I get away with ju...

Re: Work lock nut key
Worst case (if there's enough nut-to-wheel clearance) get a socket thats a very tight fit over the nut and hammer it onto the nut, then remove the nut and replace it with one you have a key for...
