Re: Your thoughts on these 19s for my JZA80?

Yeah, ideally I'd want something American like CCW or HRE wheels, but I definitely don't want to pay $7000-$8000 just for wheels. That's half my car right there! I think I'll check out some Japanese auction sites and pick up some Volks. I've just been informed that TE37SL's are very "hot" and I'd lo...

Re: Your thoughts on these 19s for my JZA80?

$2400 isn't bad at all. However, problem is that I wouldn't spend that chunk at once.

I posted this on another forum and got a similar response. I think it's time to pull the plug and just buy TE37SL's in the dark gun metal color.

Re: Your thoughts on these 19s for my JZA80?

Haha, this is more the kinda discussion I wanted. Anyway, I actually agree that DTM wheels probably aren't the best in terms of the stigma they carry. However, if I was looking at JDM wheels like say Volk, the only one I could get with a good look that suits the black chrome thick spoke'd look I wan...

Re: Your thoughts on these 19s for my JZA80?

This is a thread about aesthetics, not about sizing/fitment sizing / fitment ARE aesthetics. it makes the whole car look different. You're arguing semantics there. If I was buying chrome spinners for my Supra, people wouldn't care what the fitment was.. they'd care that they're chrome spinners (aka...

Re: Your thoughts on these 19s for my JZA80?

Definitely need to see the pics to understand why I think Black Chrome would look hot. Your thoughts on these 19s for my JZA80?

This is a thread about aesthetics, not about sizing/fitment etc. I'm looking at some 19x8 and 19x9.5 wheels that look like they could be quite sexy on a Supra. The concaveness is just gorgeous, IMO. Wanted to get others opinion on the matter before I pulled the plug because I'm still unsure how good...

Re: im matt (escortman elsewhere) JZA80 supra

Crazy sideskirts? They are OEM optional - rare and highly sought after They are hardly rare. And they're only "sought after" because USDM never got them. "Rare and highly sought after" is probably better suited to something like genuine Ridox skirts with CF inserts or TRD kit. These are simply OEM ...

Re: Painting wheels

While color coded lips on a black center do indeed look good, I imagine they're a complete PITA to keep clean and maintained. I wouldn't do it. I've got a white car too, and am looking for places that will paint wheels in the original TE37 bronze. Anyone know a cheap place local here in Auckland tha...

Just an update for anyone who cares, it is now set to $550 reserve and the highest bid wins. Crazy stupid price for a set of brand new 18s!
