Re: centre console for jzx110

I noticed you were after a full black interior, Partsworld Taranaki had (and probably still have) an IR-V with black cloth.

The centre console, handbrake and driver's seat are gone from it, but they are in my garage.

Re: VVTI solenoid

I have; rack bushes, a few switches and a 1uz harmonic balancer all in separate orders. All arrived fine. Only ever went through Japan though. The UAE is really unreliable, you make an enquiry for shipping cost etc and they basically say you can't get them out of there, which is a shame given the ma...

Re: 1JZ engine issue

Accelerator position sensor seems to be a semi common fault on JZX110. But better off getting a proper scan of the codes to pinpoint it, OBD2 scanning has a hell of a lot more info than the old bridge the pins and count the flashes method. Here's a thread regarding those sensors, and a source for re...

Re: Proposing All NZ JZ meeting 2014

I like the turbo JZ only thing. It makes it more focused towards people with similar interests - i.e. having decent power & torque and having to buy decent tyres so you can accelerate when it rains. If the majority of people on here want an n/a auto jzx90 cut spring fest, then by all means someone s...

Re: What did you do to your x chassis today

Yeah it seemed to tighten things up a little, although not sure sure how much was the placebo effect. Over the years I've replaced the lower ball joints, tie rods and shocks so there's not much play in anything anyway. SE100s are TRD bushes aren't they? I just went with stock ones, 45516-53010 (x2) ...

Re: What did you do to your x chassis today

^^^ How's the guard rub? Through trial and error I've found that an 8" wheel, 30p offset with 235 tyre (while minimising camber) is about the most you'll fit without rolling the lip. I changed the steering rack bushes in my 110 the other day. Toyota only sell the passenger side ring type bush for th...

Re: 1JZGTE help

^ TT 1jz are MAP. Have you ruled out the fuel pump ecu? Common issue on JZZ30s, and can cause the symptoms you describe. In the diagnostics port in the engine bay, bridge Fp and B+, a piece of decent wire should do, or a paper clip. With this done you should hear the fuel pump running as soon as the...

Re: What you think of this Lexus?

It's a showcase of what can be done. So yes, it's an intentional mismash of tuning ideas, and, like any concept, if it did go into production the end product would be a toned down version. Lose the guard vents, change the wheels and tidy the front and you'll have an executive muscle car that won't s...
